San Bernardino Community Health Fair Brings Hope, Healing, and Free Services to Underserved Families
On Saturday, March 29, 2025, something beautiful happened in the city of San Bernardino. In a powerful display of compassion, collaboration, and commitment to community well-being, the All Nations African Seventh-day Adventist Church hosted its very first Community Health Fair. The event, made possible through partnership with SAC Health, Advent Hope, and Refocus on You, brought together volunteers, healthcare professionals, spiritual leaders, and families with one mission: to serve the community and reflect the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
Held on the church grounds in the heart of San Bernardino, this health fair was more than just a service event—it was a demonstration of what it means to care deeply for your neighbors. Attendees were welcomed with warmth, encouragement, and practical tools to help improve their physical, mental, and spiritual health. Every guest received a “health passport” that guided them through a variety of stations, including health screenings for BMI, blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose, and peak airflow. Doctors and health professionals offered free consultations, and guests walked away not only with results—but with real advice and support.
Beyond physical care, the fair created a space for whole-person wellness. Guests had the opportunity to receive mental health and dental screenings, meet with spiritual leaders for prayer and encouragement, and engage with community resource booths offering information on substance recovery, asthma management, and prostate cancer awareness.
One of the most touching parts of the day was seeing the church’s youth in action. From distributing groceries and vegetable garden plants to managing a gently used clothing boutique, their joyful service left a lasting impression. Gospel music, provided by the media department, added warmth and soul to the environment, reminding everyone of the spiritual foundation beneath the event.
The fair also prioritized families. Children participated in fun, faith-based activities that kept them moving, laughing, and learning about God in creative ways. A delicious and nutritious meal was served to every guest, creating moments of fellowship that reminded us all of the power of breaking bread together.
At the heart of this health fair was a belief that San Bernardino is not forgotten—that God has placed All Nations Church in this city for a purpose. As a church, we recognize our responsibility to meet both the spiritual and physical needs of the people around us. This event was a step in that direction, providing essential resources to an underserved community while reminding each guest that they are seen, valued, and loved.
The feedback from attendees and volunteers has been overwhelming. The sentiment shared by all was simple and clear: We can’t wait to do this again.
